We have ‘on the ground’ research capacity with a well spread field team in all regions in Somaliland, Puntland and South Central zones.

Over the recent years we have invested heavily in training over 200 local personnel in insurgent group areas accessible by UN Flights. When assignments arise in such areas, our team leaders access these areas via UN Scheduled flights and use the locally trained enumerators to carry out interviews.

DARS has offices in major administrative regions of Somalia with a sound infrastructure consisting of research hardware and software, statisticians, analysts, researchers, quality control teams, 4WD field vehicles, security logistical support and above all, local goodwill from years of licenced research surveys in the region. Access to areas perceived as “inaccessible” has been our forte over the years, gradually gaining the confidence of local Somali populace.

As part of our wide range of data analysis and research services, we offer support right from collating important information through to analysis, synthesis and the final report writing.
