TIFA Research conducted a national survey between October 1st and 4th, 2024, focusing on the ongoing impeachment attempt against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Key insights include:

1. Performance Ratings: While Gachagua’s performance is highly rated within the Mt. Kenya region (59%), it is viewed less favorably in other regions (27%).
2. Impeachment Awareness: 78% of Kenyans are aware of the impeachment effort, with higher awareness (86%) in Mt. Kenya.
3. Support for Impeachment: Nationally, support for impeachment stands at 41%, with higher opposition in Mt. Kenya (69%) and greater support outside the region (47%).
4. Future Outlook: The survey speculates on possible replacements if Gachagua is removed, with Kithure Kindiki being the most mentioned (37%).
